In the name of Allah, the Lord of Mercy, the Giver of Mercy...

The pen has been lifted, and the ink dried.
Glory be to Allah, the Lord of All the Worlds!

What comes after death?
God willing, paradise!

And here is our final resting place.
Peace, my brothers and sisters in Islam...

The quote is from an AlMaghrib seminar about marriage in Islam…since I didnt go to the seminar, I cant give you any specific background info. From what I understand the line was brought up in relation to the concept of gheerah and the different levels of love. wa Allahu alam.

SubhanAllah, i know exactly what you mean, I'm struggling with the same thing myself. For me, its got more to do with khu'sho. I've become very heedless in my salah, may Allah guide me. Make dua to Allah azza jal to open your heart and to raise you to a higher level than what you were at before. It could be that He allowed you to slip in strength so that you would remember where you used to be and be driven to struggle to come even closer to Him than you were before. Take advantage of the last third of the night and the upcoming month of Ramadan. And remember: Allah is the Answerer of prayers and He loves those who call upon Him. Allah is the Changer of hearts, may he steady our hearts upon his deen. Ameen.

My paper was an assignment for my literature class. The reason i hollowed the name of Allah was because on a print-out, I don't know what could happen to my paper and if someone would disrespect the name of Allah. It was just a cut/paste from a word document.

i disagree...a role model is somone you look to for inspiration, and motivation.  You don't necessarily have to be tested at their level to attempt to be like them.  They are just a live example of something tangible that you can view as a realistic vision of what you're trying to achieve.

take an example of the Prophet (S). we all strive to be like him, or we should try to strive to be like him. But can we truly ever achieve his level? and despite this, he is still our role model for every action, thought, etc.

Why is it that we desire tears, but forget to ask their Creator and Master to bless us with them? Allah loves that we ask Him, and it is He that gives us the tawfeeq to ask.
